The California and Nevada DMV require an SR22 as one of its conditions in order to reinstate a driver’s license for reasons like a DUI and insurance lapse.
The SR22 form is directly issued to the DMV from an insurance company as verification of insurance coverage, regardless if you own a vehicle or not. SR22 insurance is tracked by DMV and must be maintained for 3 consecutive years without a lapse starting the day you reinstate your driver’s license. Failure to maintain the SR22 insurance can result in the suspension of a driver’s license and additional fines. We are the Nevada SR22 specialist.
